The anniversary of September 11th, 2001 should be spent in reflection over the lives lost on that dreadful day, but it should also be spent investigating how likely another terrorist attack might be. It’s too easy to start relegating that day to the distant past. Young people just coming of voting age in 2014 have little personal memory attached to that day. It happened when they were far too young to understand what was going on. The current bunch of idiots in office don’t have that excuse, yet they’ve forgotten the lessons of 9/11 just as surely.
Who’s Here? Who’s Coming?
Obama has already telegraphed the fact that he will act on unilateral immigration reform after the November elections. While he hasn’t made it clear what that reform will look like, only a fool would believe that it won’t involve amnesty in some form. Once that happens, it will open the floodgates. Border security is already a bad joke. Once immigrants from all over the world see there is a viable path to citizenship without coming through the old, difficult legal channels, there will be no such thing as “border security.” It will be a free for all.
And who will be coming through our borders? Is it possible that some of them might have an interest in hurting us? Or is every illegal immigrant an invaluable addition to the rich fabric of diversity the libs like to talk about?
It’s not exactly rocket science to figure out why Obama and the Democrats want to populate the country with illegal immigrants. What are they if not future voters? Even before they embark on whatever glorious path to citizenship Obama comes up with, their families and community supporters will be heading to the voting booths in droves. But let us never forget what it is that Obama is sacrificing for the hope of a Democratic dynasty that lasts 100 years. Don’t worry, you don’t have to write it down or anything. You’ll be reminded the next time we are blown to kingdom come by radical Islamists.
Not only is Obama botching the country’s war on terror, he is leaving us open to the very threats Bush was so effective in stopping. Not all of Bush’s policies were friendly to the continued liberty of the country, but there’s no question that he was serious about protecting America from terrorism. Obama has enjoyed the continued privacy invasions, but he has weakened our protections at the same time. As we remember the victims of 9/11, it’s worth wondering if we’re any safer 13 years later.
Common sense will tell you the answer. The media and the administration have been hammering one point home for almost a year – the refugees pouring across the border are just unaccompanied kids. If you believe that, then you have to believe that Islamic terrorists can probably figure out how to get into the country just as well as Central American children. And that, really, is all you need to know about how secure the U.S. is on the anniversary of its worst day.
