For the last eight years, President Obama and the Democrats have tried to remake the United States in the image of Western Europe. Embarrassed by important, foundational concepts like American exceptionalism, Obama strived to strip away everything that made our country great so we could be more like our secular, liberal allies across the Atlantic.
Now, though, the citizens of those European nations are beginning to realize the harmful effects of multicultural globalism. Especially as it pertains to Muslim immigration, which has been allowed, nay encouraged, in a wild, unrestrained way by many of the West’s liberal leaders.
According to a new poll conducted by The Chatham House Royal Institute of International Affairs – a think-tank headquartered in London – the majority of Europeans are beginning to think twice about letting in immigrants who don’t share their values.
The poll asked 10,000 people from 10 European nations how they felt about the following proposal: “All further migration from mainly Muslim countries should be stopped.”
How did the people respond?
“Our results are striking and sobering,” analysts at Chatham House wrote. “They suggest that public opposition to any further migration from predominantly Muslim states is by no means confined to Trump’s electorate in the US but is fairly widespread.”
In the U.K., 47% of people agreed with implementing a Muslim ban.
In Spain, 41% supported the proposal.
In Poland, a full 71% of the population wants to bar Islamic immigration.
In Austria, 65%.
A Muslim ban also obtained majority approval in Germany (53%), France (61%), and Italy (51%).
The citizens of these countries have looked straight in the face of lenient immigration policies and they have seen a vision of destruction. They’ve watched as Islamic terrorists have blown their fellow countrymen to kingdom come. They’ve seen their women raped and assaulted by lawless savages. They finally realize that there IS such a thing as a superior culture, and they are no longer willing to stand by and wait for an assimilation that’s never going to materialize.
Against all odds, the Western world may actually save itself from its own misguided compassion. What looked like certain doom only a few short years ago has become a massive global awakening.
For the sake of our children, let’s hope it hasn’t come too late.
