Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), who President Trump has often assailed as having a “low IQ,” was found on MSNBC Tuesday proving him correct.
Angry over the fact that Democrats failed to throw Trump out of office with their ridiculous impeachment vote and convinced that Attorney General William Barr did something wrong when he recommended a lighter sentence for Roger Stone, Waters said she didn’t understand why Americans weren’t taking to the streets in protest.
“The American people should be focused on Barr,” Waters said. “We should be joining with all of those federal prosecuting attorneys that have decided he should step down, that he should resign. We should be supporting them and backing them up. I’m anxious to see what the federal judges who have decided they can’t wait until the yearly association meeting, that they should pay attention to what is going on now and review what has happened. I’m anxious to see what they’re going to come out with.”
Waters is talking about the Federal Judges Association, which is a collection of judges who made headlines this week when they called an emergency conference call to talk about the Barr situation. That made for great mainstream media fodder, of course, but reasonable observers will be forgiven for not understanding what the big deal is. It’s a recommended sentence and nothing more. The original sentence, as prescribed by the Mueller lawyers in charge of prosecuting Stone, was completely out of whack with reality.
But Waters, who undoubtedly gets all of her news from places like Salon and The Root, is outraged.
“The American public should get behind this if they care anything about our democracy,” she lectured. “You know, for all of those people who say that they honor the flag and that they are in support of our democracy being strengthened, for all of those people who say that—where are you? Can’t they see what is happening? We’re in a constitutional crisis in this country, with a president who is running amok. He is out of control. We have got to make sure that he’s not reelected. We have to speak up, we have to resist. I don’t hear enough voices.”
Isn’t your voice more than enough, Maxine? Like, really, you’re bringing up the term “constitutional crisis” again? How many times have you said that since Trump was elected? 100? 1,000? We’ve lost count. Every time this president does something any more controversial than clip his nails, you and all of your aggrieved leftist friends hold an old-fashioned FREAK OUT and burn the American flag. Oh sorry, that was just your supporters, never mind.
We’re less than 10 months away from Election Day, and this idiot wants people to leave their jobs and protest in the streets. Why not just wait a minute, Maxine, and see what the voters have to say about it in November?
No, you don’t want to do that, do you.
