The left is worried sick about the impending release of a report from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, which will let Congress and the world know exactly how the Department of Justice and the FBI (mis)handled the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
You can tell they are deeply concerned about the contents of this upcoming report just by reading the news articles about its imminent release. On every page of every left-wing story about this report – the details of which, remember, we do not yet know – the nervousness is palpable. This not only tells us something about the state of mind of the mainstream media’s loyal #Resistance reporters, but also gives us a clue about the report’s contents. Something tells us it’s not going to be pretty for defenders of the Obama DOJ.
“As Justice Dept. inspector general moves from Clinton email to Russia and Trump, he risks becoming a political weapon,” reads a recent Washington Post headline. In other words…if the IG’s report on these matters turns out to help the president, he’s simply going to become a tool of the evil right-wing administration. That’s called setting the table for a pre-ordained conclusion. Oh yeah, they’re worried all right.
“In the coming weeks, Horowitz is expected to release a nearly 500-page report criticizing the Justice Department and FBI for their handling of the Clinton email investigation, people familiar with the matter said,” writes the Washington Post. “Those who know Horowitz say his findings will be as nonpartisan as they are thorough. But his work is almost certain to be weaponized by President Trump against federal law enforcement, and some question whether it will quell the tension gripping Washington.”
Weaponized against federal law enforcement? How would that be possible unless Horowitz finds evidence of significant wrongdoing within the FBI and the DOJ? And if that IS what his report finds, then how is it “weaponizing” that information merely by showing it to the public and saying, “Um, yeah, this is what I’ve been telling you for two years!” It seems to us that there is no “risk” here. There is the truth and there are lies. And we’re about to find out which is which when it comes to the mangled Clinton investigation – an investigation inextricably linked to the Trump/Russia probe.
The media and the Democrats (to the extent that we’re talking two different entities) are desperate to pretend that these investigations were carried out without prejudice or political favor. If Horowitz’s report finds evidence to the contrary, will they admit they were wrong? Will they admit that Trump had a point all along? Or will they “weaponize” their own alternative facts in an effort to continue this HOAX that says Russia elected Donald Trump?
We will soon see…
