The U.S. Government recently declassified much of the material found inside Osama bin Laden’s Pakistan hideout, and it provides an interesting look into the private life of a man responsible for more evil, death, and destruction than almost any other figure in modern history. But while it behooves anyone interested in radical Islam and Al Qaeda to take a glance at the materials, one might be surprised to see that on at least some issues, Bin Laden and President Barack Obama are not that far apart.
Climate change, apparently, is an issue that terrorist leaders and U.S. presidents can see eye to eye on. In a 4-page letter, Bin Laden writes about the scourge of climate change, insisting that relief organizations must be ready to deal with the ramifications of a warming planet. “Although the provision of tents, food and medicine will always be crucial, the afflictions are taking a larger shape and volume; hence, the quality, method and timing of aid must be equally improved,” Bin Laden wrote.
One cannot help but be reminded of our president, who has gone on record again and again with his belief that climate change is the number one threat to America’s national security. What’s funny – if you have a dark sense of humor – is that both Bin Laden and Obama seem to overlook the threat of radical Islam. One might expect that from the man who funded the World Trade Center attacks, but you might wish for a little more from the leader of the free world.
Or maybe not, since most sensible Americans have seen Obama’s true colors. Even if you don’t believe he subscribes to Islam himself, he has certainly gone out of his way to protect that religion. Although Bush was always careful to maintain that the U.S. was not at war with Islam, he stopped well short of Obama’s insistence that the religion has nothing to do with terrorism. That was because Bush, imperfect though he might have been, was not afraid to call a spade a spade.
Unfortunately, you don’t have to be a secret Muslim to buy into all of this garbage. It has become the official platform for the entire Democratic Party. Muslims are now seen as an oppressed minority, and these so-called liberals are unwilling to address the very real human rights violations occurring in countries led by Islamic rule. Support for Israel is declining and they make every excuse in the book for terrorism. They only mention ISIS when they can blame Bush for giving them the soil they needed to grow.
With such backwards views, it’s hardly surprising that they would consider climate change our greatest threat. And when you abandon reason for the religion of liberalism, you can’t be shocked to discover that some very unsavory characters happen to share your worldview.
