There have been a lot of fantastic accomplishments over the past two years, but we understand that not all Americans will see it that way. Your average Democrat voter is not going to see it as a net gain for America that President Trump has largely rolled back the Obama industry regulations, pulled the U.S. out of the Paris Climate Agreement, or that he ripped the Iran nuclear deal to shreds. We get that. But there is one thing that’s happened over the course of Trump’s presidency that is undeniably good news for every American, and that’s the rapid explosion of the economy. And, suffice to say, that’s the one thing the media doesn’t want to talk about.
When there is economic news that the media simply can’t ignore – new job numbers, a new record broken on unemployment, or a ten-year high in wage growth – they write up a story that gives Obama all the credit for the recovery, insinuating that the economy is strong in spite of this idiot president – not because of him. It’s the very epitome of fake news, and it’s starting to irritate the hell out of Donald Trump.
When talking to reporters at the White House this week, Trump took a question from one drooling imbecile who asked: “Why not focus more on the economy instead of immigration?”
“Well, I do focus on the economy, but you people don’t like to cover that,” Trump said. “I mean, we have the greatest economy. We have the greatest economy in the history of our country. The jobs report that came out on Friday — 250,000 added jobs in just October. It was incredible. Wages going up 3.1 percent. If you look at every single element of that report was a 10. It was perfect.
“And we have the greatest economy ever, but you people don’t want to cover that,” he continued. “You would much rather cover illegal immigration, which is okay for me too, because frankly, we are doing a great job at the border. Nobody else could do the job that we’re doing. And as you know, the Democrats want to have open borders and all of those tens of thousands of people pour into our country. That’s not going to happen.”
Illegal immigration has been Trump’s bread-and-butter since the day he started his campaign, but it is a testament to just how biased his coverage has been that the economy was not the number-one selling point for Republicans in the mid-terms. There are actually voters out there who still think this is Obama’s doing. And they think that solely because that’s what the media has fed them for the last two years.
Fake news at its finest.
