(TotalConservative.com) – Congressional Republicans are taking aim at President Biden’s budget proposal lambasting the plan as riddled with “taxes, taxes, and more taxes.” While it would cut deficits by approximately $3 trillion over the next ten years, it would raise medicare taxes and taxes on the wealthiest Americans. There is an additional concern that it will repeal parts of Trump’s 2017 tax cuts for those making more than $400,000 per year.
Republicans are finding it hard to believe that Biden’s plan would help average Americans. Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) told said it would worsen inflation, inflate the size and scope of government, push for the Green New Deal and drive up the cost of energy.
Sen. John Cornyn simply tweeted “Taxes, taxes, and more taxes.” In a separate tweet, he further criticized the Biden regime suggesting they know they won’t be able to pass a plan through the Republican-controlled House, and as such, they’re solely engaged in a “messaging exercise” as opposed to a genuine proposal.
Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) called the situation “an out-of-control spending problem” while suggesting Democrats don’t seem interested in fixing it. She also pointed out that Biden and the Democrats are spewing scaremongering lies when they suggest Republicans want to cut medicare. Politicians lying to advance a political agenda are echoing loudly with the recent disclosures about January 6th and the origins of covid.
Rep. Dan Meuser (R-PA) suggested the proposal was dead on arrival, as it would threaten economic growth.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre referred to the proposal as “important” and claimed it was intended to show the seriousness of their concern to the American people. Does it?
The White House has spoken a lot about the sustainability of the budget while claiming that Republican efforts would add to the national debt. That’s ironic considering how much money Democrats are spending in Ukraine or to traffick migrant children from the southern border to questionable characters claiming to be their sponsors. Is everything the Democrats claim about Republicans just a projection of their own crimes and misbehavior?
