Ex-WWE Star Sentenced to 17 Years in Prison

(TotalConservative.com) – A former WWE “Diva” was sentenced to nearly two decades behind bars for her part in a 2022 DUI-related car crash that resulted in the death of a 75-year-old Florida man.

Tammy Sytch, 50, will also have eight years on probation after she gets out of prison, according to reporting by The Daytona Beach News-Journal.

Sytch pleaded no contest to multiple DUI-related charges stemming from a 2022 incident where she crashed into a vehicle on U.S. 1 heading south that was waiting at a red light. The car she hit then collided with the car in front of it, giving you an idea of how fast she was going.

Julian Lafrancis Lasseter, 75, of Daytona Beach had been driving the first vehicle she hit and was pronounced dead at the hospital. There were additional injuries in the second car as well, including the driver and passengers in the vehicle.

Prosecutors said Sytch was a “danger to society” in that this would mark her seventh arrest for DUI. They sought the maximum penalty in the case due to her pattern of behavior. She was previously arrested in 2019 and had been out of jail only four months before the crash where she killed Lasseter.

In her last drunken driving incident, Sytch was accused of driving the wrong way down a one-way street while her license was suspended. That got her eight months behind bars. Sytch had been locked up since her arrest and received a credit of 566 days towards her sentence on Monday, November 27th.

Sytch used the pseudonym “Sunny” during her days as a female WWE star. They inducted her into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011. She last appeared on the program in the late 1990s.

Tammy Sytch had previously been the center of controversy and allegations of inappropriate adult behavior with other wrestlers, but the commentary was never verified.
