(TotalConservative.com) – Gypsy Rose Blanchard is anticipating a new life with her husband and family after being granted an early release from prison where she was serving a 10 year sentence for her part in her mother Claudine “Dee Dee” Blanchard’s murder.
Blanchard pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree murder. Her mother’s then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn was convicted of charges of first-degree murder and is serving a life sentence.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard will be released from Chillicothe Correctional Center on January 4th. She reports that her mother was incredibly abusive for the entire duration of her life and kept her isolated at home with claims of fake illnesses. Dee Dee insisted her daughter suffered from a host of chronic health problems including muscular dystrophy, asthma, and leukemia. She also claimed Gypsy Rose had a developmental disorder which required her to use a wheelchair.
The condition wherein a mother (typically) claims a child suffers from an ailment and uses it to garner attention to herself is known as Munchausen syndrome by proxy. Mothers of young children who claim their child is transgendered exhibit a new and fashionable form of the syndrome, according to experts.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard will be reunited with her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, and her father and step-mother, after her release. Their relationship was on the rocks during her time in prison and they married in 2022. Blanchard had another relationship with another man in 2019 after they met during a prisoner writing program. That ended due to similar difficulties of maintaining a long-distance relationship while in prison, according to Fancy Macelli, a TV writer who worked with the family.
Blanchard ultimately reconciled with Anderson after the family publicly rebuffed romantic advances made by Josh Seiter of “The Bachelor.” They published public sentiments suggesting Seiter’s advances weren’t going to be returned and that Gypsy Rose was very happily married to Anderson. He was also told not to write or attempt to visit by family friend Vickie Lewis in a post to social media back in April.
