Cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles – Democrat-run through and through – have struggled in recent years to keep their public images afloat in the wake of a damning homelessness problem. They have been less-than-successful in this PR strategy, perhaps mostly because the crisis continues to spiral out of control. And now that years have passed without any meaningful action on the part of the liberal leaders of these cities, the Trump administration is thinking about getting involved on the federal level. If Democrats can’t take care of their own backyards, Trump will do it for them.

From CBS in Los Angeles:

The White House is reportedly looking to become more actively involved in the homeless crisis in California.

Speaking at a Politico event Monday evening in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s chief of state Breelyn Pete said a “very large delegation” from the Trump Administration was in town for a scheduled meeting on homelessness, according to Politico.

The delegation – which reportedly includes White House, Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Domestic Policy Council officials – are expected to hold talks with the mayor’s office, Politico reported.

Pete reportedly told the crowd at the United Talent Agency event that talks will focus on “homelessness and sanitation deployment and Skid Row engagement”.

Now it may seem like federal overreach to go in and solve problems that have been created and exacerbated by local liberal policies, but the problem is that this crisis could easily spill over and affect the rest of the country.

“Despite hundreds of millions of dollars flowing through Los Angeles to stem the rising tide of  homelessness, a resurgence of medieval diseases has the city – and neighboring states – on edge. Typhoid fever and typhus, borne by fleas, body lice, and feces, are turning the once glitzy and glamorous city into a third-world worthy environment. Yes, Typhoid Mary is back, in a sense, living on the streets and wreaking havoc on unsuspecting people in the Golden State,” reports Global Research.

So, Trump wants to clean out the homeless tent cities in L.A. and San Francisco and move these people into government-backed facilities, cleaning up the streets and getting out ahead of what could turn out to be a nationwide pandemic at the same time. And while he’s doing it, he should not forget to point out that Democrats were content to sit idly by and watch the homeless take over their cities out of some misguided form of political correctness.
