J6 Prisoner has Military Honors Stripped

(TotalConservative.com) – A man who went inside the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C., on Jan 6 faces up to 20 years behind bars and was stripped of all honorable merits and status for his service in the Army.

The decorated veteran Staff Sgy. Joe Biggs, a former reporter for Infowars.com, was stripped of all his honors from serving in Iraq and Afghanistan on several tours. One of the honors he lost was the famous Purple Heart which one receives after being wounded in war or posthumously if they are killed; Biggs said he received it for being “blown up.”

Biggs eventually joined the rightwing group The Proud Boys and he was with them on Jan. 6, 2021, in D.C. at the massive “Stop the Steal” rally held by former President Donald Trump to contest the 2020 election results. The rally resulted in some clashes with police and a riot at the Capitol building along with many protesters being swept up in the excitement and entering the building.

The veteran was one of those who simply walked in while Capitol police held open the doors. He spent a few minutes inside and then walked out. Despite the fact that Biggs did not commit any violence that day, the FBI later showed up at his residence and arrested him. After a trial, Biggs was found guilty of seditious conspiracy, among other charges, such as trespassing.

Biggs detailed his current situation in a letter he wrote and sent to The Gateway Pundit, mentioning his affiliation with The Proud Boys, Infowars, his years of military service, injuries in combat, his awards, suffering from PTSD, and his 6-year-old daughter. He explained what he observed happening in the country leading up to Jan. 6, including the increasing violence from left-wing groups like Antifa, and how he ended up in D.C. that day.

Now facing up to 20 years locked up, Biggs wrote the letter to plead for help from the public, and also stated he was “innocent of ALL these charges.”
