(TotalConservative.com) – To mark the anniversary of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a speech in Charlotte, North Carolina in which she attacked “extremist so-called leaders” that are depriving women of their “constitutional right” and “basic freedom” to kill their unborn babies.
As she always does when she gives a speech about abortion, Kamala claimed that when she heard about the Supreme Court decision, she called her husband to say all the inappropriate words she couldn’t say in public.
At one point, the childless Vice President claimed that Republicans “don’t even understand how a woman’s body actually works.”
Kamala told the crowd that the “extremists” who are passing laws in states limiting abortion “plan to take their agenda national.” She warned that for Republicans, restricting abortion is just one part of their agenda to deprive Americans of their freedoms, noting that they also want to “prevent the teaching of America’s full history” (a lie) and ban books (another lie).
The Vice President falsely claimed that the majority of Americans support unrestricted abortion and reminded the crowd that nobody has to abandon their “deeply held beliefs” or their faith to support a woman’s right to abortion.
Kamala vowed that she and President Biden would continue the fight to codify Roe v. Wade in federal law. She highlighted the “actions” the Biden administration has taken, including supporting women who have to travel out of state for an abortion and protecting “access to emergency medical care.”
She closed her speech by calling on Congress to pass legislation restoring “the protections of Roe v. Wade.”
The Vice President repeated her “extremist so-called leaders” slander in a video posted on Twitter that same day.
