(TotalConservative.com) – Lara Trump said “the jig is up” for the old-guard corporate media on Thursday after a recent CNN poll found that President Joe Biden’s unfavorability rating is higher than former President Donald Trump’s.
The daughter-in-law of the former president appeared on Newsmax and told host Rob Schmitt that it’s “really incredible” that the media had to “go out and talk about” the poll. Lara Trump added their main goal is to push whatever agenda the Democrats tell them to, and that the “media is not out there to actually deliver news,” which she said is “very obvious to people” according to the survey.
Lara Trump blasted mainstream reporters and networks for “all the damage they have tried to do” to her father-in-law and “to this country,” yet said that “people are waking up” to it. She said “every single time” Trump’s been indicted, it’s “shaken people awake” and that now they “can’t go back to sleep.”
“Once they’re awake,” she said, and “see it,” it can’t be unseen. Regarding “a lot of the marketing arm” for the Democrats, “the mainstream media,” Lara Trump said she thinks the “jig is up” for them.
The former president’s daughter-in-law made the comments in response to a recent CNN survey that pitted Biden against various Republican candidates and found that Trump wasn’t the only one to stand a chance against him. Besides entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who nearly tied with the president, every Republican candidate put up against Biden beat him in the survey.
So far, Trump faces four separate indictments this year, in New York, Washington, Florida, and Georgia. The latest indictment in Fulton County, Georgia, was handed to the former president and 18 other co-defendants, including former governor of New York City Rudy Giuliani.
Rather than tanking his numbers, each new condemnation seems to make Trump more popular. After he posted his mugshot from Georgia, Trump’s campaign raised over $7 million in just a day.
