Marchers Chant “Coming For Your Children”

( – A video from a Pride event in New York City is going viral where a couple of people marching can be heard chanting, “We’re here, we’re queer, we’re coming for your children.”

The particular march was an annual drag queen parade called the Drag March, featuring hundreds of drag queens and other people who consider themselves part of the LGBTQ community, who gathered on Friday to march through Tompkins Square Park, kicking off “Pride Weekend.” The march commemorates the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in 1969. The parade started in the East Village and ended at the famous Stonewall Inn.

The video spreading around social media showed a group of marchers chanting, “We’re here, we’re queer, we’re not going shopping” interspersed with some saying “We’re coming for your children” instead. It’s not clear who said the controversial chant, or if they were there to start trouble.

However, the drag queen group Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were present throughout the day and are known to pull stunts that are deliberately provocative. The group, who are blatantly anti-Christian, recently stirred up controversy after the Los Angeles Dodgers decided to honor the drag queens at their annual Pride celebration.

There’s been a growing concern among Americans, particularly conservatives and Republican voters, that the intention behind promoting LGBTQ-related subjects and events to children is to groom them into inappropriate relationships with adults. And it’s no wonder parents are concerned when videos like this emerge and begin circulating.

The concern also comes from stories like the recent arrest of New Hampshire Rep. Stacie Laughton, a 39-year-old transgender-identifying male who was born as Barry Charlhes Laughton Jr. He was arrested on four felony counts of distribution of child pornography. What makes this even more alarming is that voters elected this person into office twice despite his known criminal record.
