Republicans wasted no time in their quest to confirm Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.

Gorsuch wasted no time digging into his first case.

And the media wasted no time in making him seem like the reincarnation of pure evil.

Gorsuch, who will always stand as a symbol of President Donald Trump in the eyes of the media, took on his first case last week – an appeal regarding the state of Arkansas and several upcoming death penalty cases. The court decided that the executions could be expedited in a 5-4 decision, as most judicial experts predicted. In other words, Gorsuch’s importance to the court became immediately obvious.

And the media took note.

The New York Times probably went the furthest of any mainstream media outlet in condemning the decision. In an op-ed – “Neil Gorsuch and the State’s Power to Kill” – the liberal rag put it this way:

The three more liberal justices agreed that the stay should have been granted, as they regularly do in such cases, just as the conservative justices regularly vote the other way. That 4-to-4 split effectively gave the deciding vote over Mr. Lee’s life to Justice Gorsuch, sitting in a seat that by all rights should be occupied not by him but by President Barack Obama’s doomed nominee, Merrick Garland.

In other words, if Trump had not won and the Republicans had not “stolen” Obama’s Supreme Court seat, these kindly murderers from Arkansas would not have to die by lethal injection. Doesn’t that just pull at every one of your heartstrings? My god, the unfairness of it all! Why can’t EVERY judge be as wise and liberal as Stephen Breyer? It’s just so damn WRONG!

“Neil Gorsuch held the power of life and death in his hands Thursday night,” the Times wrote. “His choice led to Ledell Lee’s execution, and gave the nation an early, and troubling, look into the mind-set of the high court’s newest member.”

Yes, a mindset that respects local authority and believes that the federal government should not alter state law from Washington. That’s truly troubling, isn’t it?

Well, this is the way the liberal media treats all the conservative Supreme Court justices, and Gorsuch is going to get it worse than the rest. It won’t change anything, though. What’s done is done.

And, of course, that’s exactly what makes the editors of the New York Times so damn angry.
