According to a valuable resource known as Far Left Watch, an Antifa student group in Texas is attempting to recruit mentally ill college students who want to begin politicizing their psychiatric maladies. Now, to be fair, an Antifa member has some form of mental illness by definition, but this marks a new low for one of this countries most dangerous upstart radicals.
The group, which calls themselves the Revolutionary Student Front, recently hosted a “Revolutionary Mental Health Program” at the University of Texas at Austin. The program, the organizers say, is intended “to address the mental health needs of students in a way that would primarily serve to politicize and strengthen them, to become more committed to revolution and more capable of carrying it out.”
What could go wrong?
The belief underlying this recruitment is that mental illnesses are created and made worse by the structures of capitalism, so naturally the best way to relieve you of your symptoms is to put you on the front lines of the fight against THE MAN.
“The primary method of combating the symptoms of mental illness that we face under capitalism must be organizing those suffering to come into violent class conflict with the system that creates their illness,” said the group.
You’ll notice that the Southern Poverty Law Center, which rears its ugly had every time a Muslim accidentally gets served a pork sandwich, has nothing to say about a group recruiting mentally ill students to wage “violent class conflict” on today’s college campuses. They must have been too busy trying desperately to connect the Parkland shooter to white supremacists to notice.
We took some degree of comfort last year when it was revealed that the Trump administration had identified Antifa as a violent terrorist organization worthy of increased scrutiny, but then again, we had a lot more faith in the FBI at this time last year. After more than a year of distraction, with all hands on deck for the phony Trump/Russia investigation, the FBI is apparently now floundering and unable to respond to precise reports of dangerous individuals like Nikolas Cruz. Furthermore, it hasn’t escaped our notice that we’re months out from the Las Vegas tragedy and the FBI has yet to come up with any satisfying story of where the shooter came from, why he did what he did, or…anything! Perhaps if they were less concerned with salacious dossiers they could get back to doing their jobs.
In the meantime, groups like Antifa are spreading their dangerous propaganda like wildfire, yanking recruits from the already-radicalized youth on today’s campuses and, indeed, going out of their way to find those with mental illnesses so they can turn them into violent rebels.
This might be a good time for the FBI to start paying attention.
