Most Americans Think THIS Election Outcome Would Be A “Setback”

(TotalConservative.com) – Would a victory by President Joe Biden in the 2024 election and a second term as president be bad for the country? A new poll released last Thursday shows that around two-thirds of Americans believe so.

According to a recent poll by CNN, 66% of voters said that Biden winning again would be a “setback” or even a “disaster” for the country. 56% also gave the same response regarding former President Donald Trump.

The favorable rating for Biden, coming in at 35%, is down from 40% from a previous poll at the beginning of the year. This is partly because Democratic voters now have other options to choose from, and although 60% said Biden would be their first primary election choice, there’s still a significant amount of Democrats looking for someone else.

One of those options is the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy and the son of former presidential candidate Robert Kennedy, both of whom were assassinated in the 1960s. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. declared his candidacy for the Democratic nomination in April. The poll showed a 20% favorable response as a first pick, putting him in second place behind Biden.

Coming in third is Marianne Williamson, a self-help author, who’s run for president before, receiving an 8% favorable response. 8% of respondents also said they would prefer someone who isn’t Williamson, Kennedy, or Biden, and 5% had no opinion at all.

Of the Democrat respondents, 55% said they may change their mind about which candidate they prefer.

The poll was conducted online and by phone over a period of four days with a sample of 1,227 people surveyed.

Despite the higher-than-expected polling numbers of Biden’s challengers, the Democratic National Convention still refuses to hold debates between the nominees, facing criticism, especially from Williamson and Kennedy who are frustrated by the decision.
