MTG Wants to Investigate Pelosi’s Daughter

( – Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is calling for an investigation into Alexandra Pelosi, daughter of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, over leaked comments regarding the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, that seem to contradict the official story.

On Monday, Greene posted the video, which is several months old, that depicts Alexandra Pelosi speaking with a family of a defendant being charged for attempting to stop President Joe Biden’s certification on Jan 6 by the U.S. Capitol building. In the video, Alexandra Pelosi seems to downplay particular aspects of the official story about what happened that day, particularly the claims that it was an insurrection.

Alexandra Pelosi was in the Capitol that day to record footage to be included in a documentary she was working on for HBO about her mother called “Pelosi in the House,” which was released at the end of 2022.

Greene is known for lobbying on behalf of Jan. 6 defendants. She’s now calling on the House Oversight Committee to “take a look” at the footage and investigate Alexandra Pelosi, who played a big part in the shaping of the Jan. 6 narrative. The former House Speaker’s daughter had access to most of the D.C. elite, and her footage provided investigators an inside perspective of what unfolded amongst lawmakers and how they responded during the crisis.

Some believe that Jan. 6 was set up by the government to tarnish Trump and put a final nail in his coffin. Even the former U.S. Capitol Police Chief in charge on that day told Tucker Carlson in an interview that he believes those in power “wanted something to happen” and that a “cover-up” took place afterward.

Greene maintains that what happened on Jan. 6 was mostly a peaceful protest and that most people showed up to support Trump, not to overthrow the election. She’s one of the only members of Congress still openly questioning what happened that day and calling the pursuit of the roughly 800 people who entered the Capitol building a “political witch hunt.”
