According to the mother of Ahmad Rahami’s daughter, the bomber had long indicated his disdain for the United States, Western norms, and even the military. Though “Maria,” as she is being identified by the media, says that she never thought Rahami would resort to violence, she told Fox News that he was uncomfortable living in a culture so far removed from his home country of Afghanistan.
“He would speak often of Western culture and how it was different back home,” she said. “How there weren’t homosexuals in Afghanistan. He seemed standoffish to American culture, but I never thought he would cross the line.”
Rahami was apprehended by authorities on Monday after a shootout that nabbed him a few attempted murder charges to go along with the coming federal indictment. He is suspected of planting a total of 10 bombs in and around the New York City area, one of which resulted in injuries.
Law enforcement officials say he had a notebook on him at the time of his arrest. That notebook reportedly contained writings praising the Boston bombers – two jihadists whose pressure cooker bombs resembled the ones used by Rahami. FBI sources are saying Rahami’s influences seemed grounded in Al Qaeda ideology, which may explain why ISIS has not taken credit for the explosions as they did the mass stabbing in Minnesota on Friday.
But if Rahami was one of the Obama administration’s famous lone wolves, his ex reminds us that when it comes to these people…there are always warning signs.
“One time, he was watching TV with my daughter and a woman in a [military] uniform came on and he said to her, ‘That’s the bad person,'” Maria told Fox News.
And yet, what was the big news coming out of all this? That Donald Trump said we should be “profiling” these people.
No, you’re right, liberals. We should just ignore all of the warning signs, let these Islamic idiots kill as many people as they like, and just get really good at putting on massive vigils.
The real ironic shame of it? By peddling this “Islam has no terrorism problem” fiction, these One World Nation liberals are going to turn their fears of anti-Muslim violence into a reality. Instead of solving a problem, we’re putting our heads in the sand, allowing it to grow. Sooner or later, we will all acknowledge it. Why not now, instead of 50 years from now, when it’s grown too large to solve?
