(TotalConservative.com) – Former President Donald Trump made an appearance on The Simon Conway Show for an interview and accused the Democratic Party and Special Counsel Jack Smith of attempting to interfere with the 2024 presidential election by tying him up in litigation.
During the interview, Trump gave the Democrats a warning that there would be consequences for their efforts to lock him up in prison. He told them it would be “very dangerous” for their party to even talk about. The former president said the Republican Party is composed of “tremendously passionate” voters, “much more” than in 2020 and 2016.
According to Trump, his enemies are “trying to cheat” by indicting him, accusing the Democrats of “interference” in the democratic process.
Trump, who was indicted in Manhattan in April and again in a Miami district court last month, is potentially facing a third indictment related to the Washington, D.C., Capitol riots on January 6th, 2021. The former president received a “target letter” from Smith which notified him he would possibly be under investigation over efforts to overturn the 2020 election results on Jan. 6.
A target letter usually indicates imminent criminal charges. In Trump’s case, these charges would include obstructing an official government proceeding, insurrection, and conspiracy to defraud the U.S. If convicted of such charges, Trump would face time in prison.
Trump’s enemies accuse him of attempting to incite an “insurrection” in D.C. on Jan. 6, yet the evidence for this claim isn’t very strong and some even contradict it. For example, when the violence broke out at the Capitol building, Trump was still in the middle of speaking. During that speech, he also told his supporters planning to march to the Capitol to “make their voices heard” to do so “peacefully and patriotically.”
Meanwhile, more substantial evidence of corruption among the Biden family is now out in the open, and the Democratic Party is doing everything to avoid addressing the elephant in the room. Trump’s son, Eric Trump, recently said the double standards have resulted in Americans losing trust in the Department of Justice, especially the FBI.
