The fashion magazine industry tripped over themselves to feature First Lady Michelle Obama on their covers as often as possible, but they did a lightning-quick turnabout when Melania Trump came to Washington. All of a sudden, the (extremely beautiful) First Lady was nowhere to be seen on the newsstands as an unspoken blacklisting of Melania Trump took place across the fashion industry.

Last week, Breitbart wrote an article about this phenomenon, lamenting, “The elitist snobs in the fashion press have kept the most elegant First Lady in American history off the covers of their magazines for 4 consecutive years.”

The article caught the eye of the president, who retweeted the article and wrote, “The greatest of all time. Fake News!”

The Daily Mail noted that Melania’s absence from the fashion covers is made even more remarkable when you compare it to Michelle’s record.

“Melania’s absence as a cover star has been keenly felt by the President who has often commented that his wife has been overlooked when her predecessor Michelle Obama made frequent appearances,” they reported. “Obama in fact made three Vogue covers during her time as First Lady, appearing on her third in November 2016, shortly after Trump’s election win when Melania was already preparing to enter the White House. Her first came shortly after her husband took office in 2009 and the second in 2012.”

Ordinarily, we wouldn’t spend too much time worrying about who gets the latest cover of Vogue, of all things, but this really is one of the easiest examples of left-wing media bias to point out – even to those who swear up and down that it doesn’t exist. We suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so we won’t comment on whether Melania is more beautiful than Michelle, but surely she isn’t so ugly that the fashion industry can’t bear the thought of putting her on their covers. And yet…none? Not a single one?

“If you need any further proof of the shameless bias of the liberal mainstream media, the most stunning First Lady in American history has never graced our nation’s major style magazine covers,” tweeted James Woods earlier this year.

Exactly. The blackout against Melania is purely political – a decision made by fashion-industry leftists who think they’re part of some grand #Resistance to modern Naziism. We’re sure they’re tripping over themselves to set up covers for Kamala and “Dr.” Jill.
