Trump Supporter TURNS BACK, Throws Support at DeSantis

(TotalConservative.com) – Video footage of a woman who described herself as a “hardcore Trump supporter” at a South Carolina campaign event for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis went viral after she praised the Sunshine State governor.

DeSantis spoke to voters at a campaign rally in Tega Cay and during the Q&A at the end, he was complimented by the unidentified woman who described herself as a “hardcore” supporter of former President Donald Trump, DeSantis’ chief rival for the Republican nomination.

The woman said that Trump made her “stop and think,” and said that her love for the former president “comes from all the despair” of everything “he’s been through.” She also said Trump “did a good job” as president. She admitted to thinking more with her heart, from a place of “sorrow,” her love for Trump, and concern “for this country.” She went on to say the next election “is the most important vote” and that she must now think more with her mind “and what’s best” for America. She concluded by telling DeSantis he “did an excellent job” and that she appreciates it.

The woman received a round of applause from the rest of the audience. DeSantis then responded by thanking the woman and affirming her remarks. The Florida governor, who is Trump’s number one rival for the Republican nomination, said he appreciates what the former president did and that “he was treated wrong” and “in ways that were unconstitutional.” DeSantis then posed a question to the room: “What are we going to do about it?”

DeSantis made a call to action to his audience that “the weaponization of the government” must end, and that he “will get that done.” He affirmed that it’s not about him, but the people who support him, about “standing up” for them and “this constitution” by “restoring” the U.S. to “what the Founding Fathers envisioned.”

The clip, which is nearing 2 million views, received widespread praise from his supporters, but it also drew detractors, some of whom are even claiming the event was staged and the woman was planted in the audience.
