Whistleblower Implicates U.S. Agencies In Child Trafficking Of Migrant Children

(TotalConservative.com) – A Judiciary subcommittee in the House of Representatives heard testimony from three witnesses on Wednesday, April 26th, including one whistleblower from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Their testimony highlighted the fact the U.S. government is facilitating a billion-dollar child trafficking syndicate via its unaccompanied alien child (UAC) program that takes kids coming over the border and delivers them to ‘sponsors’ – some of who are on transnational criminal watchlists.

The hearing was titled the Biden Border Crisis and was hosted by members of the House. It specifically highlighted the surge of children coming over the Mexico-American border in the past few years.

Customs and Border Protection statistics show that the number of kids crossing the border dramatically increased from 33,239 in FY2020 to over 146,000 in FY2021, and 152,000 in FY2022. Thus far for FY2023, over 70,000 children have come over the border. These children are typically handled by HHS who ensures they are cared for until they can be delivered to a sponsor which is supposed to be a family member or parent already living in the U.S.

A recent report revealed over 85,000 of these children are missing when officials have attempted follow-up. Tara Lee Rodas worked with the UAC program at HHS, she saw first-hand how children were trafficked to questionable sponsors and heard directly from the kids how they were forced into harsh working conditions for dollars a day. Some are forced into overnight shifts or dangerous manual labor, others suffer even worse fates. Their plight is largely ignored, even a recent expose by the New York Times barely registered for most Americans distracted by economic woes or other issues.

Sheena Rodriguez is the founder and president of Alliance for a Safe Texas, who also heard directly from kids how they were trafficked through Mexico by armed members of criminal cartels. She’s demanding an investigation into these federal agencies and an end to the practice of releasing minor children to sponsors. Jessica Vaughn from the Center for Immigration Studies also called on Congress to act.

HHS head Xavier Becerra seemed completely oblivious and inquired where the number of missing children came from. He argued that their responsibilities legally end when the child is placed with their sponsor, but that doesn’t make much sense if the children are being placed with criminals who abuse them. Shouldn’t there be at least minimal follow up on these kids? Shouldn’t the authorities screen sponsors for connections to criminal organizations or past criminal records?
