According to Campus Reform, a Gender & Women’s Studies department at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign is making waves by promoting a new platform developed by the National Trans Youth Council. The platform consists of nine points, all of which are designed to weaken our security both domestically and nationally. In a stunning release from a major public school, the university shared a Facebook post this week outlining the demands, telling readers that this was “something to believe in.”

“We call for the abolition of the police, ICE, borders, and the judicial system,” the platform says.

Yeah, this is where we’re headed.

“We call for decolonization and reparations for all indigenous and black peoples,” another demand read.

The NTYC also called for an end to “cisgender heterosexual patriarchy,” the eradication of “global white supremacy,” and the end of “disposability politics,” whatever that is.

Campus Reform notes that the University did not stand behind the sharing of this infographic for long:

The UI department subsequently deleted the Facebook post and did not return requests for comment. But other controversial posts still remain on the department’s Facebook page. UIUC’s Gender & Women Studies department also encouraged students to leave a “feminist curse” and to “take or leave a feminist offering” via Facebook.

“We invite you to leave a feminist curse on the wall or in the skull and pick up a feminist benediction (a button, a flyer, whatever offerings are her,” a sign posted in late September reads. “At the end of the month, we will burn all our curses together.”

The Yerbamala Collective is “a nebulous coven of anti-fascist witches whose poetry has been popping up on social media feeds, fenceposts, and other physical spaces since the U.S. presidential inauguration,” according to Medium.

“As the witches say, survival is contingent on solidarity,” the sign concluded.

Ooookay. Sounds like a complete waste of taxpayer money and a drain on student tuition, but we’ll leave that for the citizens of Illinois to figure out. We’re more concerned that these ideas – that all police enforcement and border security is evil – are getting more and more mainstream by the day. Hell, you just had the incoming Speaker of the House say that it was “immoral” to build a wall to keep illegal immigrants out of the country, so this isn’t just a bunch of pink-haired freaks at some left-wing college.

No, this is Democratic Party Central, whether they want to fully admit it or not.
