WV GOP Candidates All Pass Trump’s ‘Purity Test’

(TotalConservative.com) – Republicans from West Virginia seem to have one thing in common: very few of them believe the 2020 election was free and fair. Glenn Elliot is running as a Democrat for a Senate seat in the state and he suggested that questioning the legitimacy of the 2020 election was a litmus test for Republican candidates in the state.

Curiously reframing a frequent critique of the political left, Elliot suggested that failure to support Trump “on everything” results in the charge of being a RINO (or Republican In Name Only). He suggested that behavior was cult-like.

The governor’s race is packed with contenders, including Secretary of State Mac Warner who maintains that the 2020 election was rigged, despite the official narrative. Warner suggested that media, big tech, and federal intelligence agencies conspired to interfere with the will of the people. Some even bragged about the accomplishment.

Former state representative Moore Capito pointed out that Trump won West Virginia “in a landslide” and suggested that the results would have been similar nationwide if other states ran their elections like West Virginia does.

Attorney General Patrick Morrisey hasn’t outright said the election was rigged or stolen, but he highlighted several times that there were numerous anomalies, including the first time in history numerous “bellwether” counties voted for Trump with the overall state vote count going to Biden.

Chris Miller is also running for the governorship and he suggested that the population doesn’t have faith in the integrity of mail-in ballots.

Derrick Evans spent three months behind bars for his role in the events of January 6, 2021. Evans is running for the House of Representatives and is using his J6er status to signal-boost Trump and criticism of Joe Biden’s 2020 win. His primary opponent, Carol Miller has previously served in the House and voted with Trump every time during his administration. Evans has suggested Miller is a “commie RINO,” without qualifying the sentiments.
