Biden Calls Global Warming Deniers ‘Lying, Dog-Faced Pony Soldiers’

( – President Joe Biden had choice words for those who deny that man-made global warming is contributing to climate change. During a press briefing in Vietnam at the end of the G20 gathering in India, the president answered questions from reporters who were chosen in advance which is the standard practice.

During the Q & A White House AFP correspondent Aurelia End asked a question involving climate change which triggered a lengthy and colorful response wherein he shared an expression that he said was from a John Wayne film, but others claim is from another movie from the same era with actor Tyrone Power.

End asked if he was concerned about a lack of consensus on the matter of phasing out fossil fuels as it is a key component of the Paris Agreement. Biden’s meandering response included discussions of his past collaborations with politicians around the world and in the Senate. Given his frequency with lying about things he’s done in the past, scrutiny is warranted. He asked the audience if they’d thought they’d be gathered at the G20 concerned about global warming.

He then relayed a scene from the movie where John Wayne was talking to an Indian about some costumed Union soldiers attempting to get the Indians to move into a reservation. The President believes that, in the movie, the scout turns to John Wayne and says the costumed soldiers are lying, dog-faced pony soldiers. No one has been able to find the source of this alleged line of dialogue. Biden then suggested that there are many pony soldiers lying regarding global warming.

Biden failed to rally international support behind the U.S. and Ukraine in its war against Russia. The G20 refused to officially chastise Russia for invading Ukraine, though they did publish general sentiments condemning war as well as the threat thereof in order to acquire territory. Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy all declined attendance, though all were present last year.

India didn’t invite Ukraine this year, despite the U.S. requesting as much. Their foreign ministry expressed their dissatisfaction on social media.
