(TotalConservative.com) – Los Angeles should brace itself for another wave of criminals being released from county jails. County Supervisors Lindsey Horvath and Hilda Solis, two females, are so full of compassion and understanding that they’re eager to combat “systemic racism” in LA county jails by mass releasing convicted criminals.
Solis hails from the Obama administration and Horvath is the former mayor of West Hollywood, and who tried to have Donald Trump banned from entering the city. Their ultra-liberal plan will be voted on April 4th, by the Board of Supervisors.
The controversial move proudly proclaims their desire to “depopulate and decarcerate” calling on the Board to “redress historical wrongs” which are “rooted in systemic racism.” They’re being loudly opposed by local prosecutors and law enforcement organizations, who suspect the timing was planned to occur during two major gatherings of law enforcement professionals in the city.
In a written letter they decried “surging crime rates” and the bizarre desire to move away from “sound public safety responses.” They also expected the passage to herald increases in criminal activity, which has been a big problem since lockdowns and the 2020 summer riots of St. Floyd.
The board also opposed the re-election of County Sheriff Alex Villaneuva who was considered a law-and-order Democrat, he was replaced by Robert Luna who beat him in an election last November.
The only Republican to serve on the board, Kathryn Barger, opposes the new plan. The liberal tendency to avoid prosecuting criminals has been a big problem since the George-Soros-funded DA George Gascón was elected to the position. Gascon famously oversaw the destruction of San Francisco with his soft-on-crime touch from 2011 through 2019. He’s been giving Los Angeles County the same treatment since he was elected in 2020.
Gascón is famous for ending cash bail in San Francisco and LA and refusing to prosecute “certain minor offenses,” he’s also more interested in investigating settled officer-involved shootings than he is in holding criminals accountable for their crimes. He’ll never seek the death penalty, nor will he ever consider charging minors as adults.
