(TotalConservative.com) – Migrants who come to NYC are receiving a laundry list of free benefits. Of course, nothing in this world is truly free, and those benefits are being paid for by the city and its taxpaying citizens.
Those receiving shelter are also provided three hot meals a day, snacks, cellphones, transportation, recreational accommodations such as TV and ping pong tables, healthcare, and education for migrant children at public schools.
With the ongoing situation outside the Watson Hotel in Hell’s Kitchen, where dozens of migrants are sleeping outside and refusing to leave (egged on by far-left activists), people are becoming increasingly aware that the policy of taking in thousands of asylum seekers is unsustainable.
The activists encouraging the resistance at the Watson are not doing the men who refuse to leave any favors. It’s one thing to sympathize with people trying to make a better life for themselves, and another to excuse ingratitude and especially to courage it.
Although the accommodations at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, where the men from the Watson are being resituated, are not as cushy and private as a room in a midtown 3-star hotel, a lot is being provided for the men who’ve moved in. The fact that they’re getting any assistance at all during the current economic climate is no small gesture.
On Monday, the City Hall Press Secretary Fabien Levy told the New York Post that “facilities at Brooklyn Cruise Terminal will provide the same services as every other humanitarian relief center in the city.” He also stated that the city remains “in serious need of support from both our state and federal governments.”
In December, Mayor Eric Adams asked the Biden administration, whose border policies have created the problems NYC contends with, for $1 billion in assistance to deal with the crisis. Since then, roughly 15,000 more migrants have poured into the city.
